People come into therapy for all kinds of reasons, whether you are feeling depressed, anxious, having difficulties in a particular relationship, or grieving from a loss, among other reasons. If you are looking to make a change in your life, or want to gain a deeper understanding of how or why you are in the situation you have found yourself in today, then therapy can help.
I found myself in therapy over 35 years ago when I felt stuck in a difficult situation that I had no idea how to get out of. It wasn’t until I started my own therapy that things became clearer to me and I had a better understanding of how I arrived at this place in my life. Together in a safe environment with my therapist, I discovered so many things I previously was not aware of.
My training in this field began at the Centre for Training in Psychotherapy which is an intensive master level program.
Through exploration of earlier experiences in my life I slowly began to realize how I established unconscious patterns of behaviour that were not benefitting my daily life and hindering me from living to my full potential.
Therapy is a commitment that you may or may not be ready for. Maybe you have already had some previous experience in therapy and are ready to continue your journey further with someone different.
If this is your first time seeking therapy, you might feel apprehensive, I know I did. No matter how hard this first step may be, or how long the journey. I can say from personal experience that it is life changing.
I would like the opportunity to meet with you to talk about your own unique reasons for coming into therapy and how I can help you.
You can contact me by email or leave a voicemail at 416.451.2738 and I will respond as soon as possible.
